$200 from Azoogle

Posted by Vizik on Jul 29 2008 | My Progress

I have been promoting offers through Azoogle for the last few weeks or so and I have made $200 so far. I won’t disclose my technique, but it involves a website where you have to drive traffic to. I take about 15 minutes to set everything up and just set it and forget it. Isn’t that great? I can have fun and my computer will be making money for me.

How to keep your laptop cool?

Posted by Vizik on Jul 26 2008 | Laptop Problems

It’s been very hot lately, which can probably be the reason why my laptop is even hotter. Either way, I found a solution to keep my notebook a few degrees cooler. It’s simple, I just got a two bottle caps and placed in under the back corners of my notebook. Don’t got bottle caps? Well, you can use a piece of wood, use erasers, use anything. Just make sure to keep it elevated to improve air flow. By elevating the laptop, it allows air to flow through the bottom of the laptop; therefore, cooling down the machine. The notebook needs to exhaust the hot air. Since you leave it flat down on the table, it is not able to fully air out the bottom of the notebook.

Word of mouth traffic

Posted by Vizik on Jul 20 2008 | Building Traffic

Traffic is one of the most important aspects to a website’s success. One of the easiest ways to bring in traffic is word of mouth. Tell everyone you know! Introduce yourself, and tell them you own this website or that website. Put it on your facebook, or myspace. Put it in your e-mail signature. There is virtually unlimited ways. The reason why this works so well is because they are referred by someone they know personally.

Scheduled Publishing for Wordpress

Posted by Vizik on Feb 22 2008 | Too Much Work!

I found a very time effient feature in Wordpress today. You can set a date to publish your article. That means you can spend one day writing a months worth of articles and just schedule the date you want each article to be published.

To use this feature, go to the “Write” tab in Admin. You will notice on the right column, it will say “Categories”, “Discussions”, “Post Password”, “Post Slug”, “Post status” and “Post Timestamp”.

Post Time stamp is the feature you are looking for, just click the “+” sign and it will un-collapse the box. Make sure “Edit Timestamp” is checked and than set your date.
Here’s the procedure,

  1. Login
  2. Go to the write tab
  3. Write your article
  4. Set the date you wish for the article to be published
  5. Hit the “Publish” button

To manage all your scheduled post. Click the “Dashboard” tab and it’s under “Scheduled Entries:” in the right column

Lesson 6: Rooma-ji M’s, R’s, Y’s, W’s and N/M

Posted by Vizik on Feb 21 2008 | Learning Japanese

Another day, another lesson.

Ma - Prounced as Mah
Mi - Prounced as “Me”
Mu - Pronounced as “Moo”
Me - Not “Me”, it’s pronounced as Meh
Mo - Again, like Paw, except with a M in front; Maw

The R’s a little bit tricky. The R sound is a combination of R and a L sound. So you would keep the tongue near the top of your mouth and start with the R sound and then the L.
Ra - Pronounced as “Rlah”
Ri - Pronounced as “Rlee”
Ru - Pronounced as “Rlue”
Re - Pronounced as “Rleh”
Ro - Pronounced as “Rlaw”

The next 2 sets, Y and W have less sounds because the japanese government changed it.

Ya - This one is pretty straight forward. Yah
Yu - Pronounced as “You”
Yo - Not YO!!!! Remember, like Paw, instead with a Y in front; Yaw

Wa - Pronounced as “Wah”
Wo - This one is special. It is pronounced as if the W isn’t there. Like the basic “O” in the base roomaji

You might ask “What’s the point of having a Wo then?” You just need it when writing hiragana. On to the last Rooma-ji sound.

N/M - It’s a combination of N and M sound. So just put your tongue against the top of your mouth and try to do the N sound without moving your lips or tongue.

Finally we are done with Rooma-ji. Next part will be Hiragana. Look forward to it guys. :)

Wallpaper Preview Not Showing in Vista

Posted by Vizik on Feb 20 2008 | Computer Problems, Laptop Problems

I noticed my background disappeared, so I went to re-apply the wallpaper. So I went to Desktop Background settings and noticed that all the previews for the Desktop wallpaper weren’t working. I would DEFINITELY not apply each and every wallpaper to see which one I want. I done a little research and found this fix for it.

I downloaded this program called “Advance Windows Care”. It’s a very nice program. The program fixes many common problems. It also fixes the registry, immunizes you from spyware, and much more. It’s truely a very good program without any spyware garbage preloaded.

IMPORTANT NOTE: When you are installing it, make sure you uncheck the box that make yahoo your homepage and uncheck the box for installing the yahoo toolbar. Well, you don’t have to, but I just like to keep my computer free of useless programs.

Here is the site to download it,
